Some time ago I published the formula for a dianthine base - modeled on the famed Dianthine of Firmenich. It is a beautiful base with many uses but it is primarily a top and heart note formula. Here I am presenting a heart to base note formula built around Givaudan's most amazing methyl diantilis - a chemical that only arose in recent history and would surely have knocked the socks off the great perfumers of the past. Typically base-note carnations...

Lovely base Jamie! I used this as a base in a recent perfume of mine and it has worked so wonderfully well. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it so far and it really features this base and the vintage dianthine base as well. Many thanks!
That’s great to hear! I am probably going to sell this base through the site (as a made up base) in the future. Original Chypre had a combo of Dianthine and a base note carnation too (based on iso eugenol though).
